Digital Marketing and Web Specialist

This job will grow alongside CIPR Communications. We are looking for an individual ready to grow with the team that sees a long-term future with our organization.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Project Management
    • Leading projects with a focus on digital marketing tactics (SEO, PPC, web)
    • Monthly reporting for clients
    • Triaging and/or actioning client requests
    • Communicating with the client, suppliers, and internal team on progress, tasks, needs
    • Understanding client monthly reports and actioning on recommendations
    • Ensuring CIPR team members and CIPR suppliers have access to client assets
  • Execute on marketing strategies for clients
  • Executing simple content and/or simple change requests on client WordPress websites
  • Coordinatingdigital marketing and web needs between clients, CIPR team members, and CIPR’s trusted partners to execute projects
  • Writing blogs specifically catered towards content marketing and search engine optimization programs
  • Management of marketingsuppliers and tools
  • Assisting the Web Project Manageras required
  • Other marketing duties as required


  • Exceptional WordPress abilities – that have been proven in the past
  • Understanding website analytics (including SEO and PPC reports)
  • Advanced understanding of marketing trends and techniques
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail with a high degree of professionalism
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Multi-task in a highly organized fashion
  • Perceptive and anticipatory – ability to identify gaps and fill them in accordingly (rolling up your sleeves)

Educational Background and Experience

  • Marketing post-secondary degree; or degree specific to digital marketing
  • Previous experience in project management (5 years)
  • Previous experience in digital marketing (5 years)
  • Previous blog writing experience (2-5 years)
  • Previous agency or corporate experience is required (this shouldn’t be your first job)
  • Experience with cloud-based project management tools (the position will utilize Asana, Basecamp, and other tools daily)
  • Advanced skillset in WordPress
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in problem solving, research, and investigation/troubleshooting

Bonus Skillset:

  • A candidate with graphic design skills outside of Canva will be considered an asset
  • A candidate with experience with Facebook Ad Manager and could run ads for clients will be considered an asset
  • A candidate with podcast and video editing experience is considered an asset

Job Details

  • Start July 2022
  • Full time
  • Virtual job with in-person and video conference meetings. Monthly in-person meetings with the team
  • Travel to client places of business may be required for content collection; mileage and expenses covered if outside Calgary
  • On-boarding and training provided
